
Modular UAS Electronics
Ether Form’s (EFI) offers a comprehensive suite of NDAA compliant electronics required for UAS mission systems. Components include the flight controller, Power Distribution Board (PDB), Time of Flight (TOF) sensor, Position/Navigation and Timing, and PWM control boards.
EFI’s components are small, conform to standard board mount dimensions and enable Group 1 through Group 3 UAS platforms. EFI provides software for integrators to rapidly deploy their capabilities. All components support DroneCAN messages over FD-CAN (or optionally CAN) interfaces for high-throughput and low latency communication. FD-CAN enables simplified wiring harnesses to reduce wiring and increase modularity on the customer’s platform.



Components
Flight Controller
(Available Q2 ’26) – Microcontroller-based flight control featuring two FD-CAN interfaces for external sensors, triple redundant IMUs, Gyros and magnetometers, as well as barometer.
Position, Navigation and Timing Sensor
(Available Q2 ’26) – Supporting global positioning from GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou systems. Provided in a compact form factor and featuring a PCB mounted antenna. Interfaces with the flight controller via FD-CAN.
Time of Flight (ToF) Sensor
(Available Now, Datasheet coming soon) – Provides high-accuracy precision distance measurements up to 5 meters using an invisible laser. The ToF sensor works with irregular surfaces making it suitable for a landing sensor.
Power Distribution Board
(PDB, Available Now, Datasheet coming soon) – Supporting 75V (16S maximum), 45A power distribution and isolated power conversion to 12V, 7.4V and 5V (20A max). A software interface provides voltage and amperage values to external boards via FD-CAN. Custom applications (i.e., voltage and amperage) are available upon request.
Batteries
Integrated high-energy density batteries available upon request featuring Amprius Silicon Anode battery cells.
